Amb. Anthony Muchiri was sworn in as the new Chairperson for the Public Service Commission (PSC) in a ceremony at the Supreme Court on 22nd December 2021. The oath of office was administered by the Chief Registrar of the Judiciary Ms. Anne Amadi and witnessed by the Chief Justice Martha Koome.
The oath of office marks the beginning of Amb. Muchirii’s six-year tenure at the helm of the Commission.
In his remarks Amb. Muchiri pledged to transform the public service into a dynamic and proactive workforce that will address the needs of the citizenry. Prior to his appointment amb Muchiri was Kenya's ambassador to Cuba.
Present during the ceremony were, Cabinet Secretary Public Service Prof. Margaret Kobia, PSC Vice Chairperson Ms Charity Kisotu, Commissioners and senior PSC secretariat staff.
