Commissioner Salma Ahmed addressing Niger Public Service Officials

 

The Rapid Results Approach team from the Office of the Prime Minister, Republic of Niger, who are in Kenya to benchmark on RRI approaches, on Monday 4th November 2019, visited Public Service Commission (PSC).

The delegation comprising officials from the Niger Public Analysis and Government Evaluation Unit was led by Mr. Zodi Abouzedi, Deputy Coordinator of the Unit in Charge of application of RRI in Niger.

Commissioner Amb. Salma Ahmed who chaired the meeting with the delegation noted that the PSC has prioritized programmes that will positively impact on common citizens, through the RRI approach.

She said that part of the Commission’s transformative agenda is to improve public service delivery in order spur growth in the private sector, and create conducive environment that will address the plight of youths’ unemployment.

The head of the Niger delegation Mr. Abouzedi, said their decision to visit Kenya was a result of a recommendation from World Bank, owing to Kenya’s previous record of successful execution of RRI program.

The delegation will be in the country for one week where they will visit government agencies and departments.

Present at the meeting were, PSC Deputy Commission Secretary (DCS) Mr. Remmy Mulati, Director Performance and Service Delivery improvement Dr. Sylvester Obong’o, Director Corporate Services Mr. Gerald Kuhaka and Deputy Director Performance and Service Delivery improvement Mr. Daniel Oliech.
