Public Service Commission is set to host the Association of African Public Service Commissions (AAPSCOMS) 6th General Assembly which is scheduled to take place at Safari Park Hotel, Nairobi between 6th and 8th November 2024.

The event brings together 100 international delegates from AAPSCOMS member commissions across Africa and 200 local delegates that include chapter 15 commissions and independent offices (CCIOs) and select Ministries and State departments.

Conference Theme:  Driving Public Service Delivery Transformation through Innovation and Technology.

This theme is pursuant to one of AAPSCOMS key objectives of seeking to reform and transform public services to become more transparent, more accountable, and more responsive to citizens needs, with the ultimate goal of improving performance and the quality of services that citizens receive. Citizens are yearning for more and better quality public service commitments from the government. The  6th Annual AAPSCOMS Forum aims at encouraging and supporting public service commissions to develop, implement, evaluate and showcase impactful citizen focused public service delivery reforms.

AAPSCOMS was established on 9th April 2008 at the Speke Resort and Conference Centre in Kampala, Uganda. A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between twenty (20) African Public Services Commissions representing fifteen (15) countries in Africa. The purpose of the Association is to collaborate, share experiences and best practices among Public Services Commissions in order to promote good governance and improve service delivery in the public services of the continent.
